“Players is more than a drama school to learn about singing, dancing and acting. And don’t get me wrong, you just need to have seen Matilda last year to see it does this exceptionally. But it also a safe place that is inclusive, supportive and very, very welcoming. He has made lifelong friends whilst learning the most important life skills – to be true to your self, be confident, proud and happy.”

Training in Acting, Singing And Dancing

At Players Drama School, our training is built around three core disciplines: acting, singing and dance.

Each class is carefully structured to support students at every stage of their journey, from their first introduction to performing arts through to more advanced training. As pupils progress through the school, they develop stronger technique, greater confidence and a deeper understanding of performance.

Our approach ensures that every student feels supported, while also being challenged to grow and reach their full potential.

“To say (my daughter) has loved it and got so much out of it is an understatement. She has absolutely loved the friendships she has made, the training provided and the opportunities given. “

ACTING

Our acting classes develop confident, expressive and thoughtful performers.

Students begin by exploring storytelling, improvisation and character work, before progressing into more detailed script work, performance technique and stage awareness. As they grow, they develop the ability to create believable, engaging performances with confidence and control.

SINGING

Singing lessons are designed to develop a strong, healthy and confident voice.

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of vocal technique, including breath control, pitch and tone, before progressing into more advanced work focusing on dynamics, expression and performance. As confidence grows, pupils are supported in both ensemble and solo singing.

dancing

DANCING

Our dance classes develop strength, coordination and confidence in movement.

Students build a foundation in technique and musicality, before progressing into more complex choreography across a range of styles. As they develop, they gain greater control, precision and performance quality.

A CLEAR PATHWAY OF PROGRESSION

One of the things that sets Players apart is our structured progression pathway.
From early creative play in our youngest groups, through to advanced performance training for older students, every stage is designed to build on the last, ensuring consistent development and growth
Students don’t just attend classes, they progress, improve and achieve.

PERFORMANCES & OPPORTUNITIES

Performance is a central part of the Players experience, giving every student the opportunity to apply their training in a real and rewarding setting.

Throughout the year, pupils take part in; regular showcases, large-scale productions in professional theatre venues and additional performance opportunities, including holiday productions.

Our productions are a highlight of the year, with performances regularly selling out to large audiences. Each show is professionally staged, with full costumes, lighting, sound, and dedicated hair and make-up, creating a high-quality theatre experience for both performers and audiences.

Every student is given the opportunity to take part, developing confidence on stage, gaining performance experience, and being part of something truly special.

THE PLAYERS FAMILY

What truly sets Players apart is the environment we create.

Alongside high-quality training and performance opportunities, we are proud to offer a supportive and welcoming community where every student is known, valued and encouraged.

We place a strong emphasis on teamwork, respect and belonging, ensuring pupils feel comfortable, confident and motivated in every session. Friendships are built naturally, and many of our students remain with us for years, growing not only as performers, but as individuals.
